Entrepreneurs’ Working Group Meeting within the FAIRCOMADR Project (2025/3)
On 26 June 2025, the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BKIK) and the Budapest Conciliation Board (BBT) held the 2025/3 meeting of the Entrepreneurs’ Working Group, which was established in 2022. The professional event was implemented within the framework of the BBT’s EU-funded project entitled “Promoting Fair Commercial Practices through Alternative Dispute Resolution in Hungary (FAIRCOMADR)”.
The entrepreneurs’ workshops focused on current consumer protection issues, risks and good practices arising from the digital environment, as well as strengthening the business-oriented understanding of alternative dispute resolution (ADR). The programmes supported lawful business conduct and encouraged cooperation within conciliation board proceedings. In 2025, the working group approach placed particular emphasis on identifying regulatory challenges and formulating constructive proposals; based on these discussions, regulatory and deregulatory proposal packages related to consumer protection are being prepared for submission to the legislator.
In the first part of the meeting, the keynote speaker was Csákiné Dr. Gyuris Krisztina, Deputy State Secretary responsible for consumer protection and trade at the Ministry for National Economy. The event was opened by Dr. Viktória Bódi, Acting Secretary General of the BKIK. Within the FAIRCOMADR framework, the maintenance and expansion of the working group will continue; the next meeting is planned for September 2025.
Thank you for your participation!
