Professional Training in Esztergom
On 16–17 May 2025, a professional training event was held in Esztergom as part of our EU project “Fostering the awareness of fair commercial practices through ADR tools within Hungary (101146134 — SMP-CONS-2023-ADR I FAIRCOMADR)”.Friday featured a full-day workshop led by facilitator János Laincsek. The programme focused on self-awareness, resilience and role consciousness — essential skills for professional work as well as personal growth.

The Business Working Group – Second Meeting of the Year

BCB X Auchan – World Day of Consumer Protection
On the occasion of the World Day we informed consumers on the role and jurisdiction of conciliation boards at three venues (Auchan Óbuda, Auchan Albertfalva - Savoya Park, Auchan Soroksár) in the framework of the FAIRCOMADR project.During the events visitors could get information on their consumer rights and win several prizes by spinning a Wheel of Fortune and answering a quiz question on consumer protection.

A Radio Interview on the 2024 Year of the Budapest Conciliation Board and the Grant FAIRCOMADR
On 11 February 2025, r. Éva Farkas, member of the Budapest Conciliation Board was invited by András Ércfalvi into the program of the TrendFM, titled “Monitor in the Afternoon”. The most important results of BCB in 2024 were put into the focus of the talk. Dr. Éva Farkas introduced the activity of the Board that mainly aims at fast and professional settlement of consumer legal disputes, thus contributing to fair functioning and stability of the economy.

Information on Consumer Protection for Seniors
On 7 February 2025, Dr. Éva Farkas, lawyer, and member of the Budapest Conciliation Board gave a lecture on conscious consumer attitude at an event of the Rákosmenti Free University for Pensioners at the Vigyázó Sándor Cultural Centre in the 17th district. The objective of the lecture was protection of the rights of seniors especially focusing on how to deal with problems arising from everyday purchases.
