On 16 September 2025, the year-end meeting of the Entrepreneurs’ Working Group—established in 2022—was held as a joint event of the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BKIK) and the Budapest Conciliation Board (BBT). The programme was implemented within the framework of the BBT’s EU-funded project entitled “Promoting Fair Commercial Practices through Alternative Dispute Resolution in Hungary (FAIRCOMADR)”.
The meeting provided a forum for bringing together business perspectives and authority–institutional experience, reviewing practical issues related to consumer protection compliance, and jointly clarifying interpretative challenges arising in day-to-day operations. Participants shared their experiences with a focus on challenges emerging in the digital environment and on lawful information provision and sales practices, while the discussions centred on solution-oriented, forward-looking proposals.
Within the professional programme, the keynote speaker was Dr Andrea Basa, Head of the Consumer Protection Office of the Hungarian Competition Authority, who presented an overview of the Office’s current activities. Her presentation also addressed the lessons learned from recently concluded and public proceedings, as well as forthcoming plans in the field of consumer protection.
The event was opened by Dr Viktória Bódi, Secretary General of the BKIK.
Thank you for your participation!
